Thiago Silva’s agent has told Spanish radio station SER it would be “stupid” to reject a move to Barcelona amid reports an official offer has been made.

Barca have a long-standing interest in the Paris Saint-Germain man, with coach Tito Vilanova believed to be looking to reinforce his defence, and there has been significant media coverage about secret meetings and potential bids between the parties in recent times.
This week, the centre-back revealed that Vilanova had even invited him to play for Barca after the Champions League meeting with PSG last season.
The player’s agent, Paulo Tonietto, had then told RAC1 that it was time for the Spanish champions to make a concrete offer.
“There’s a lot of talk about Tito wanting him, but if that’s the case then someone should start talking,” he said. “If you want to buy something, you can’t just sit at home watching the TV.”
According to Catalunya Radio, a bid of €32 million has now been lodged with the French club, while Tuesday’s edition of the Sport newspaper announced that Barca had sent sporting director Raul Sanlleh to Rio de Janeiro in order to negotiate with the Brazil international and his agent.
Even if the bid is accepted - which is a matter of some doubt given the 28-year-old cost PSG €42 million when he left AC Milan last summer - it does not appear likely that Barca would be prepared to match the wages he earns with the Ligue 1 champions. Nonetheless, Tonietto has made clear his client is eager to move to Catalonia.
“You can’t say no to Barcelona - we’re not stupid,” he told SER. “[But] it’s not down to Thiago. It all depends on PSG.”
