Our client: AfricCon Blogspot Agency is mandated by an oil and gas firm to recruit a Structural Engineer for its operations in Nigeria.
Job Description: Ensure that procedures and documentation is in accordance with relevant procedures, rules, regulations, codes, standards and specifications Checking of design documents Report non-conformities and deal with them according to existing QA procedures Participate in and contribute to design briefs and design documents based on specifications The role reports to the Engineering Manager
Qualifications / Experience: Holds an engineering degree in a relevant engineering discipline Requires four to five years design engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be result oriented and outgoing Good analytical and problem-solving skills Strong mathematical ability; Computer literacy; Good grasp of physics; Good three-dimensional conceptual skills; Excellent oral and written communication skills; Good diagrammatic skills; Team working ability; Excellent attention to detail; The ability to liaise well with professionals from other disciplines; An interest in the design and structure of buildings.
