Fellaini Hands in Transfers request to Everton to speeds up, to join Man United

Fellaini arrived at Everton's training ground to personally tell Roberto Martinez that he wanted to leave Everton, with Manchester United his likely destination.

He signed for the Toffees in the final few minutes before the deadline in September 2008 and it looks like he will leave in similar circumstances, despite Everton and Manchester United still needing to agree a fee.

Arsenal have completed the signing Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid for a club record fee, believed to be worth around £42million.

Ozil had been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United throughout the summer, and last week appeared to end speculation about his future by saying he has no intention of leaving Real.

But on Monday morning it emerged that Arsenal were closing in on the signing of the 24-year-old after tabling a bid of around £42.5m, and after passing a medical in Germany, the deal was completed on Monday evening, just four hours before the 23:00 BST transfer deadline.

• Paul: Milan fail to convince in Cagliari win

The Brazilian won the Scudetto and the Champions League in a six-year spell with the Rossoneri before moving to Spain in 2009, but as the Serie A club’s official website put it on Monday morning, "certain love stories never end".

"Yesterday evening, just after 20:00, in virtue of the traditionally good relationship between the two clubs, Real Madrid and Milan reached and formally ratified an agreement for the transfer of Ricardo Kaka to the Rossoneri," a statement on the Italian club’s website said.

"During the night, meanwhile, just before 3am, the agreement was reached with the Brazilian superstar."

Kaka and Galliani are both flying from Madrid to Lombardy, where they can expect to be met by hundreds if not thousands of Milan fans at the airport of Linate when they land around midday local time. They will then transfer to the club’s training facilities in Milanello for the obligatory medical before meeting the media in the early afternoon.

Liverpool to Offer £25m swoop for defensive duo Sakho and Ilori as West Brom rival Moses bid

Afric TV24 - Football Update

Liverpool line up £25million double deal for defenders Mamadou Sakho of Paris Saint-Germain and Tiago Ilori of Sporting Lisbon but face competition in their bid to sign Chelsea's Victor Moses.

Moses is keen on a move to Anfield but there are understood to be reservations from Chelsea about allowing the move to go through.

Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich and Southampton have all registered an interest with Albion manager Clarke keen to bring in three new players before Monday's deadline.

Liverpool's strong bid for France international Sakho has surprised PSG and the prospects of the deal going through improved on Friday after rivals Roma seemed ready to pull out.

However, the chase for Moses is key with Liverpool eager to bring in a better attacking option.

Albion manager Clarke is eager to beat his old club to the 22-year-old and cranked up the pressure on West Brom owner Jeremy Peace. Clarke said: 'I’m getting nervous and I’m concerned we have left it too late - that we won’t get the players we need to improve the squad.

Moses is set to leave Chelsea before the transfer window closes

‘We have positions we need to fill. We’d like to bring in at least two more forward players and experienced goalkeeping cover due to Ben Foster’s injury.

‘It’s difficult. We haven’t spent any money during this window. We have brought in players on loan and on frees.

‘Now, when you look around and ask: “Where can we spend our money?” the market is condensed, there are not so many targets. My job as head coach is different. I’m not the manager. I can make recommendations, it’s down to the club, the chairman and Richard (Garlick, sporting and technical director) to make those decisions.

‘Is it frustrating not to have made a big cash buy during the summer? Yes. But my job is to get over that.'

Albion are fielding enquiries for Peter Odemwingie but his asking price of £4million is proving prohibitive.

Stoke City, Fulham, Cardiff City and Swansea City were all interested in the striker but it appears the selling club are asking for a premium with just 72 hours to go before the deadline.
