Creative Associates International, currently hiring the following positions for an upcoming conflict mitigation and management project based in Nigeria.
Vacancies Notice:
Deputy Chief of Party - Needed
Job Code: Nigeria - DCOP
Required Skill:
Minimum of an advanced degree in related field and 7 years' implementing int'l development activities under a USG contract (including USAID), and 3 years in senior program management, directly supervising professional and support staff.
Experience in conflict mitigation and management programs, as well as facilitating multi-sectorial collaboration among different technical fields & various stakeholders.
Experience awarding & managing grants to local organizations; and
Experience with Early Warning Systems highly preferred.
Grant Manager - Needed
Job Code: Nigeria - Grants Manager
Required Skills:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration or a relevant field, and 7 years' experience in USAID grants design and administration, management and oversight.
Demonstrable experience managing grants under contacts or sub-grants for USAID or other international donor-funded projects.
Experience with the administrative, financial, and programmatic aspects of issuing grants.
Ability to work with diverse teams.
Knowledge of USAID regulations as they pertain to grants procurement.
Demonstrable experience building capacity of local organizations or grantees.
Conflict Specialist - Needed
Job Code: Nigeria - Conflict Specialist
Required Skills:
Minimum of advanced degree in international relations, development, or a related field, and 10 years' work experience in the international development and conflict management.
Experience and demonstrated expertise in the areas of conflict management and mitigation, post-conflict reconstruction, and democracy and government within the Nigerian context.
Knowledge of fragility framworks, early warning systems, support peace processes, reconciliation, and/or security sector reform.
Excellent skill in writing, editing, formating, research and oral communications, and writing technical proposals for USAID..
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
Monitoring & Evaluation Manager - Needed
Job Code: Nigeria - M&E
Required Skills:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Minimum 5 years' experience designing, managing & implementing results-based M&E activities (including for M&E role on USAID conflict program), & analyzing quantitative & qualitative data.
International development organization experience & knowledge of reporting procedures, best practices, guidelnes & tools for monitoring & evaluation, especially impact evaluation, as well as USG & other donor contract, coorperative aggreements, and grant regulations.
Excellent computer software skills in Excel & other data management systems; and
Experience in sub-Saharan Africa, early warning systems and mobile data collection tools highly preferred.
Applicants for all positions must have excellent written & verbal communication skills in English, familiarity with USAID policies & procedures, & experience working in Nigeria.
