  Gunmen on Monday in Benin, Edo State, allegedly killed a soldier on duty as a guard with SETRACO Construction Company and abducted an Israeli working with the company.
  
  Another soldier was reportedly shot and wounded, while the third, who was on guard duty, was said to have escaped attack initiated by the gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers.
  
  The kidnapped victim, whose identity could not be established as of the time of filing this report, was said to be a worker of SETRACO, an indigenous company engaged in the construction of Upper Mission Road, Benin.
  
  He was said to have arrived the company in a black Camry saloon car.
  
  When contacted, Public Relations Officer, 4 Brigade, Benin, Capt. Roslyn Managbe, said she had yet to get details of the incident.
  
  Her counterpart at the state Police Command, Moses Eguavoen, while confirming the incident, said police had commenced covert intelligence gathering with a view to apprehending the suspects.
  
  Eguavoen, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, assured members of the public of police determination to provide security for them and their property.
