  Speaker of House of Representatives Hon Aminu Bello Tambuwal has given an indication that the emergency rule in Adamawa state may soon be lifted as security situation in the state has improved.
  
  He spoke in Yola, yesterday, and added that due to the restoration of normalcy in the state, people were going about their normal businesses, which presupposes that the emergency rule has brought sanity in the once troubled state.
  
  ‘’In the course of our interaction with the service chiefs, we learnt that the security situation in Adamawa has improved and I am sure that at the appropriate time President Goodluck Jonathan will respond to the yearnings of the people and ease the emergency rule,’’ Tambuwal assured and commended the government and people of the state for the support they rendered to security operatives during the emergency.
  
  In his remarks, Governor Murtala Nyako said that despite the hardship experienced by the people, residents have resolved to rally support for an enduring peace in the state.
  
  He said that though people received the emergency rule with shock and mixed feelings, there was no report of ugly incidents even as soldiers and other security personnel continued to observe the rules of engagement.
  
  Nyako used the occasion to announce the naming of a street in the state capital in honour of the visiting speaker.
