Report From talkSPORT - Liverpool legend John Barnes believes his former club should aim to sell Luis Suarez as soon as possible.
Arsenal last week tabled an increased bid of just over £40million for Suarez, which was designed to trigger a clause in the Uruguay international's contract which would allow him to speak to the Gunners.
Barnes believes the Reds should prepare to offload the 26-year-old in order to leave them with enough time to bring in a replacement this summer.
"We’ve seen in the past when transfers go down to the last minute that it doesn’t help anybody, especially for a club like Liverpool who, if they lose Suarez, would have to find a big-name replacement," he told talkSPORT.
