Liverpool FC target Christian Eriksen expected to leave Ajax before the transfer window closes
Ajax Coach Frank de Boer has admitted that he has already considered replacements for Christian Eriksen, who continues to be linked with Liverpool.
And De Boer is ready to replace from within, rather than looking to bring in a new signing this month.
Eriksen, who is out of contract next summer, has been linked with several sides over the past few months including Manchester United and Tottenham, while more recently, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Roma have shown interest.
But Liverpool have been keen on the playmaker for some time, and De Boer is preparing to lose the 21-year-old's services, with the Dutchman stating he will look internally to replace the highly-rated Denmark international.
"It is not possible for us to replace Eriksen by buying a player of similar quality," De Boer told De Telegraaf.
"So it is better for us to look to replace him from within and I am thinking about people like Lasse Schone, Davy Klaassen, Thulani Serero and [Riechedly] Bazoer."
De Boer had last month said he expected Eriksen to be on the move before the transfer window closes.
"It is up to Christian what he wants," he said.
"If he feels good going to Liverpool, then it is up to him.
"I would want nothing more than having him with us for a few more years. But we realise the interest in this kind of player is huge. And I can also understand that he wants to make another step in his career. I can't stop him."
