Firm Partners LAWMA On Highway Sanitation

 

The Nigeria Bottling Company has partnered the Lagos State Waste Management Agency and  employed eight sweepers that will ensure the cleanliness of Apogbon community on Lagos Island.

National Commercial Director of NBC, Mr. Matthieu Segui, said the company partnered LAWMA to ensure proper supervision and promotion of sanitation in the state.

FG To Terminate Presidential Amnesty Programme By 2015



The Federal Government is set to terminate the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme by 2015, Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Matters, Hon. Kingsley Kuku, has said.

Kuku, however, said government had put in place machinery to ensure that over 10,000 ex-militants passed through various educational and vocational trainings within and outside the country before the termination of the programme in 2015.

THE Forbes Magazine has declared Aliko Dangote as the world’s richest African in the world, just as the world’s richest black woman, Folorunsho Alakija, is conspicuously missing in the magazine ranking of the 21 richest Nigerians.

Alakija, an oil tycoon and fashion designer, reportedly worth at least $3.2 billion edged out African American Oprah Winfrey, worth more than $2.7 billion, in Forbes 2012 list of richest black people. 

JTF Kills Six, Arrest 11 Suspected B’Haram Members


No fewer than six suspected members of Boko Haram were killed and another 11 arrested by the Joint Task Force on Sunday.

A military commander on Sunday, said vigilantes in northeastern Nigeria captured the 11 suspected members of the Boko Haram sect and handed them over to the army.

Nigeria And Others Countries Barred From US Visa Lottery



Nigeria and some other countries will no longer be eligible to participate in the America Diversity Visa lottery programme.

Information from the United States Department of State sighted on Sunday said Nigerians and citizens from few other countries were not eligible for DV-2015

The department said Nigeria was excluded since over 50,000 Nigerians had immigrated into the United States in the last five years.
