  Ipas is Currently recruiting fresh graduate for their vacant position below:
  
  Vacancy - Policy Consultant
  Location: Abuja,Nigeria
  
  Ipas, a global, non profit reproductive health organization  working in Nigeria,seeks a consultant in their policy  Unit.
  The Policy Unit conducts country lovel advocacy with the aim of seeking positive law reform in order to create an enabling environment that access to qualitative sexual and reproductive health services. The position is a three months consultancy with the posibility of renewal.The position is based in Abuja and is available immediately.
  
  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  The Policy consultant will coordinate and monitor dovelopment as it relates to law reform agenda in the National Assemble.
  This person will contribute to the development of stretegies,products and projects to improve the enabling environment in support of women ability to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights.
  S/He will assist the in carrying out  country - level  advocacy eforts and assist in contributing to law reform efforts.
  Liaise and make contant with legislators as well as  coordinate the series of one on one meetings with legislators in the National Assembly regarding the Violence Against Persons Bill which is currently pending in the senate.
  S/He will map the legislators in the National Assemble and identify those that are opinion leaders,planary speakers, bench warmers, nocturnal networkers.
  
  Minimum requirements for the position:
  1st degree in Law Social Sciences or related discipline.
  A Master's Experience will be an added advantage.
  3 - 5 years Experience in NGO related work and Research,monitoring and evaluation, legislative Advocacy etc.
  Excellent writting skills in English
  Good inter - Personal skills
  Proficiency in MS Office required.
