Location: Port-Harcourt - Nigeria
Our Client:
TPI Ltd, an Environmental Service Company Located in Port-Harcourt with major clients in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Oil & Gas Industry, required competent, dynamic, resourceful and self motivated individual to fill the vacant post of Technical Manager.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
B.Sc. in Chemistry or Engineering .
A master degree in a related discipline will be an added advantage as well as registration with relevant bodies such as IPAN and ICCON.
Minimum of 10 years working experience in an environmental laboratory is required
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (MAJOR):
Reporting to the CEO,this role provides leadership for quality control in our Laboratory operations.
The Technical Manager should provide leadership,including accountability for performance and results as well as the safety of the people and process.
Specifically,the Technical Manager should have excellent knowledgement and experience in wet chemistry analysis as well as familiarity with the instrumentation laboratory and the use of GC,AAS,GC-MS and UV-Spec etc.
The Technical Manager will pay a privotal role in people development,manpower utilization,cost management and efficiently Improvement opportunities.
SPECIFICS RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our desired candidate should be able to provide high-performance system that excecutes the quality assurance and control responsibilities of various laboratory units in a cost-effective and collaborative manner.
Manage organization to provide timely QA/QC analyses for environmental samples,with a focus on delivering result with a high-degree of confidence and and accuracy.
Use of the GC,ASS and GC-MS to perform analysis as well as operations in wet chemistry laboratory.
Lead the resolution of technical Issues and ensure that remedial actions are taken when needed.
Show unwavering commtment to Company's Pledge and business conduct.
SKILLS:
General understanding of the operations of the various units in an environmental laboratory.
Capable of preparing and presenting technical operations reports on laboratory activity and effectiveness
Should deliver on commitments to client while providing leadership and development opportunities for staff.
Good writing and oral communication skills as well as being a result and action oriented individual
Must have strong personal computer and analytical skills.
