Whatever he says, Rooney will have a point to prove if he moves to Chelsea. He will want to show Manchester United what they are missing.

Now, this could result in him trying too hard under many managers, but Mourinho will help Rooney find his best form. He will make the England man feel like a million dollars and motivate him perfectly to succeed.

Then, while Rooney and Moyes have had their differences, he would respect Mourinho from the start and do everything to repay the faith the Chelsea boss has shown in him.

The combination of Rooney, Chelsea and Mourinho - believe it or not - is a winning one!
